Introducing Priyanjoli: Founded in 2012, she began travelling across India to small villages and started working with master-craftsmen, listening to the beat of their looms, and understanding their processes and perceptions. She loves Handwoven Textiles. Every textile in India has a theme, and often, a story to tell. She says that she grew up listening to the stories about the saris from her mother and grandmother, some dating back to decades. Her favourite is the Bengal cotton and over the last few years, has worked really hard to create new textures and new weaves like the Khadi Cotton, Cotton and Jute, Jamdani and Linen, Linen Cotton and Matka Silk.
Why we love Priyanjoli: The collection appeals especially to those who appreciate the specialness of the Indian handloom textiles, who appreciate quality and uniqueness of pieces that are individually created, one of a kind and not mass produced.
“We continue to raise the bar in terms of fabric innovation, customisation and craftsmanship, which have become core attributes of the brand”.
